Yes, YOLO seems to be the rage now. You see young people wearing it on their caps. They are right in a way; life is much too short. But the best way to make it seem entirely too long is to outlive your money.

Yes. This is probably the most often used excuse for lack of wealth building. Life is short, but it will be awfully long when a person has to be dependent upon charity in their retirement years.

The one I hear often is “None of my friends or family are rich.” THAT isn’t an excuse! My reply is always the same: Then become rich and teach all those in your family who also want to break their shackles to do the same.

That’s right, it’s not a valid excuse. Most wealth is created, not inherited. So, that means most wealth is first generational wealth!

I think another funny one is “I would never be able to spend a lot of money.” Great – give it away to your favorite charity then.

    • Monty Campbell

That’s another hilarious one that I should have included. You hit the nail on the head – give it way to charity. Excuse denied.

I agree with the one about money not making a person mean. You can choose to be a good person who gets rich so you can be a good role model for all those people who mistakenly believe that rich people are bad.

    • Monty Campbell

      That’s 100% correct Thomas!

These are hilarious Monty! My personal favorite is the one about being robbed.
