If you want to achieve the things you say, you must override your biological inclinations that want to keep you were you are today. Only then will you slay the enemies of the mind that prohibit people from becoming successful.

You see, it’s comfortable to spend more than you make, but that behavior isn’t in the blueprint for success. It’s comfortable to stop learning and growing, but that behavior isn’t in the blueprint for success. It’s comfortable to forego saving money, but that behavior isn’t in the blueprint for success.

So, what’s in the blueprint for success? Hard work, determination, commitment, goals and…enemies. Yes, enemies.  You see, the blueprint for success is filled with enemies that challenge people to become something greater than they are.

And the biggest enemy of the status quo is… financial freedom. Because…

Financial freedom is the enemy of a distracted mind.

Financial freedom is the enemy of fear.

Financial freedom is the enemy of settling.

Financial freedom is the enemy of ignorance.

Financial freedom is the enemy of momentum.

Financial freedom is the enemy of a kakistocracy.

Financial freedom is the enemy of playing it safe.

Financial freedom is the enemy of doing what you’re told.

Financial freedom is the enemy of indifference.

Financial freedom is the enemy of just getting by.

Financial freedom is the enemy of avoiding failure.

Financial freedom is the enemy of doubt.

Financial freedom is the enemy of a caste system.

Financial freedom is the enemy of negativity.

Financial freedom is the enemy of sloth.

Financial freedom is the enemy of ambiguity.

Financial freedom is the enemy of going with the flow.

Financial freedom is the enemy of unpreparedness.

Financial freedom is the enemy of assimilation.

Financial freedom is the enemy of imposed compliance.

Financial freedom is the enemy of silence.

Financial freedom is the enemy of equality.

Financial freedom is the enemy.

It’s also everything you’ve ever been looking for.

Be free. Nothing else is worth it.

    Your points really resonated with me. I generally find that the another enemy of financial freedom is boredom and its accompanying lethargy. There’s nothing more energizing than a renewed sense of purpose; and sometimes searching for a new purpose can be just as rewarding as identifying the purpose itself.

    This is a great post. Managing our own money should be taught to us in school and by our parents — but in many cases, our parents didn’t know how to put their money to work for them. It will make such a difference in terms of lifestyle in later years by setting up some plans at an early age. Unfortunately, procrastination sets in, and too few people actually take heed.
